I recently acquired a set of NiSi filters for the RX100 VII. The attached photos are directly from the camera. The first two illustrate the performance of the polarizer and the second set of photos illustrate the utility of the gradient ND filter. The polarizer does help enhance the photo. The gradient ND filter can be rotated in the filter holder and moved up and down to enhance the effect as you desire. The camera indicated a few areas in the clouds were blown out, but adding the gradient ND filter solved that issue and resulted in more pleasing clouds.
The NiSi filter set ($65 at B&H) also contains a three-stop ND filter and a filter to help decrease the appearance of light pollution in images. The filter mount simply slides on the lens barrel and the mounted filters can be moved and rotated. The holder holds two filters.
Warning! Removed the filter holder before allowing the lens to retract in order to avoid possible damage to the camera. Two suggestions are to be sure that (1) when the EVF is pushed into the off position, that you have set in the menu that the power is NOT turned off and (2) the Power Save Start Time is set to 30 minutes. These can be found in the Menu as the last two items in Setup 2.
The NiSi filter set I anticipate will allow me to make some photographs that likely I couldn't make before with the RX100 VII. Now all I have to do is to remember to bring the little filter kit with me!
And I do feel it was worth the $65 (so far).
Glad you are enjoying it Doc!

Amazing what that little unit can do. I have the "V" bought from another hog, and I thoroughly enjoy it. Does that system work on the "v"?

The one I got is for the VI and VII. ChecK with B&H to see if there is one for the V. Thanks for looking.
Thanks Paul. I see that you are just up the road from me. Give me a holler if you get to the Rocket City.
