Had not seen any humming birds for a while. Walked around the corner of the house and had one on the gazebo. Heavily overcast, good for flowers but not when you need DOF and shutter speed. But hey, I am thrilled. After 3 years got the opportunity twice. Hoping they come back. Heavily cropped.

If possible I would set up near those Creeping Trumpets and shoot between naps
Before I moved I used to hang a piece of camo burlap from a rafter on my deck and shoot through a hole in it, mostly in the winter, I was as close as 12 ft from the birds at times, I didn't worry to much about the dof as long as the bird was sharp.
