Wonderful start, Leslie. Thanks for hosting another challenge.

There is another Larry Hammer living in San Antonio. Met them when we returned their Sears bill that was delivered to our mail box back in 1973. Became good friends and raised families together either camping or spending a couple of long weekends on the beach in Port Aransas in the summer time. Haven’t been there in a long time but have seen a beach here and there through the years.

Went to niece’s graduation from Cal Tech 11 years ago and from the Santa Monica pier you could see a lot of bodies on the beach there.

5 years ago we spent time on a number of different beaches on Kauai in Hawaii. Great family vacation with kids and grands! Saw a few goodies on or just off the beach.

Lunch leftovers here.

Best time to go is after labor day, in September. Most of the "summer" people are gone. All the restaurants are still open. Best restaurant--The Chillmark Tavern. But Chillmark is a dry town, so you have to bring your own wine. Also Atria in Edgar town is a don't miss restaurant. Bring lotsa money. the Vineyard is a pricey place

Thanks for the Tips Boberic..

The afternoon light on the hotel is perfect. And the bird in the foreground adds a nice touch. Pretty image.
