Description has W22 st NYC. Not even close. Should read somewhere in the midwest.

That’s the address of the gallery that showed her work.

Also, note the dimensions: 59 x 63. That would be pretty startling on your living room wall.

That's the address of the gallery. It has nothing to do with the photo.

The first thing I looked for was the angle of shadows. They don't match up. If you look at the photo in one of the links, called "Welcome Home" it shows some weird things. The playing cards falling could not be done in "real time" the instant the photo was taken. And the "flying cat" would never happen either. If you like flying felines, you'll love that one. Some will like her work and some will have no interest in it. My mother used to say "'To each his own', said the old lady as she kissed the cow".

Meh... All clearly staged and/or post-processed. I suppose the artist is making some sort of profound statement with these but their message escapes me.

There is something about it that I just can't put my finger on. To me, it looks unrealistic. I'm not talking about the scene or other "content" but the "qualities" of the image. I don't know how to describe it--like the difference between the photo of a building and the "artist's rendering." In a way, it seems almost like a drawing than a photograph.
How would one go about achieving this "effect," if that's what it is?
Does anyone see what I mean, or is it just my imagination?

Wow! He has quite an imagination, and he certainly put a lot of work into each one. As for achieving that effect, you would have to spend a lot of time with the photographer, learning from him. I wouldn't know where to begin.

Basically, it's all fake

No, I think they're all real. I can see them right here on my computer.

I've been in Kingston almost 14 years. I've passed Hurley Mountain Inn hundreds of time, but only had lunch there once. It's probably time to visit there again.

I went there a couple of times on St. Patty's Day for their corned beef.

En plein air for this artist, according to Lehmann Maupin
Interesting to say the least...

It seems to me that some of the relative sizing is off, and out brains struggle to accept what is being seen.

In this image, the 4th person from left has what seems to me to be a disproportionate head size. In the theatre image, the lady in the second row on right also seems disproportionate. The focus issues are, for me, easier to accept.

I think someone said this is art not photojournalism. I doubt the photographer intended anything else.

On top of everything else the apostrophe is on the word Checks instead of on the word Ted’s.

A photo editing program put to use... A composite of many photos I believe.

The following are works by Koen demuynck:

The cat has the gold fish in the blender LOL... How do you make a fish drink? and a flying saucer outside

Ok, I thought that was the title of the photo.

It is not a SOOC image for sure. It appears to me to be a construct of many disparate elements to present a version of an alternate reality. Nothing odd about that, really. Members of this forum have posted similar images, especially in the post processing section.

Fun stuff! I had this idea to make very high resolution images that is a composition but upon zooming in and exploring one finds many scenes within the image. It works well!

I like them all but my favorites are Welcome Home, Yellow Pages and Speed Limit.
