This is a black kind of fuzzy little weevil that I found borrowed deep in a flower blossom during my walkabout in the park. I found a brown one several weeks ago so this may be a related variant for other than their colors they look quite similar. This is a focus stacked image staged at 5X magnification. Again, the blue background is created using a sample paint swatch placed behind the specimen.

Thanks ever so much. I often go to Lowes for odds and ends for around the home and when I do I browse the paint department and I pick up several of the sample paint swatches. They have a wide variety of colors and shades that are free for the taking.

Because my subjects are quite small the paint swatches work quite well when placed behind them to create a complimenting color background.
