I love rivers. I find them fascinating. Being a desert rat, I'm surprised and extremely pleased when I find a river that's actually carrying WATER (don't laugh!). I have found that there's no standards when it comes to calling a flow a river. Some are huge. Some are so small, you can jump across them. The only thing I've ever found that distinguishes a river from a creek is that rivers may have (and may not have) tributaries, where creeks are solitary flows. A wild river is one that is not dammed, even though water may be pulled off in other ways. I followed a few rivers on my trip to the Northwest, and I'd like to share some views with you. I welcome your comments.

It would appear you had a wonderful trip. Lovely captures but I find the first one a bit "overcooked."

It's a lovely falls. There is no trail to the bottom and attempting it is verboten.
