Bogen 3033 with Bogen 3047 head

My wife found her old tripod and I was wondering if the Bogen 3047 head can be removed. Tried to remove it but it does not seem to budge. Thanks for any help.

Loosen the grub screws, it will unscrew.

Take out centre column.
Turn upside down.
Undo 4 small screws in column base
Turn upright
Head should now unscrew from column base.
Fit new head in reverse.
