Northern Mocking Bird for sure. I have them nesting in my back yard and they do not like me to be around. Every day I get dive bombed. It's a fun bird to have around but can be very aggressive this time of the year.

They are aggressive because they have a nest close by. I feed the birds (including the mockingbirds). It's funny to see them dive bomb the neighbors and leave me alone.

Let's hope it lives a long life. It would be sad "To Kill a Mockingbird".

The mockingbird is the state bird in Texas; it is illegal to kill them.

Naturally, when I was a kid, I once aimed my BB gun off to the right to scare one off, but the darn BB went right into the bird instead. For about a week, I was expecting my arrest!

My comment in quotes "To Kill a Mockingbird" was in reference to the movie "To Kill a Mockingbird" starring Gregory Peck who played the part of attorney Atticus Finch.
