Into the Midnight Sun: Bergen Norway, Day 2 Part 3, From Mt. Fløien
The next part of our tour of Bergen was up Mt. Fløien via funicular railway. From the summit, 984 feet above sea level, there is a spectacular view of Bergen’s seaside setting. Our ship is the one between the sailing ship and the other cruise ship in the first photo. To the right of the third photo you can see the funicular track in the lower right part of the photo. The next photo is your photographer enjoying his first full day in Norway. Photo number 5 is the funicular station at the top of Mt. Fløien. The next photo was taken just prior to boarding the funicular car for the trip back down, while the next one is from the car on the way down.
Photo number 8 is walking from the funicular station to the tour bus for a scenic drive around the Nordnes Peninsula with a stop to take photos, which is where the final two photos were taken.
The photos are best viewed in download.
Next up is more from a walk around Bergen, ending with photos of Mt. Fløien from the Viking Star.
By any chance did you take the Hurtigruten ferry?

No, though we saw them a few times. We were on the Viking Star (Viking Ocean Cruises) for two weeks.
Another fine set of Norway.

The picture of the man with all the camera stuff I am reminded of what my granddaughter said at one point. Grandpa try to blend in.
Where you helping to spread the virus?

Thanks for the comment jerseymike; I can envision one of our grandchildren making a similar comment. I was a bit struck as well with all of the stuff I'm carrying. But realized that I have the camera and sling bag, my passport holder and a water bottle (necessary while out and about for a half day). I bought a small Canon G5X Mk II recently, primarily to lighten my load when out and about when traveling. I'll still bring the DSLR for use on the ship and some other times though.
