Canon brought out their "EF" mount 33 years ago (1987) No matter what way you try chopping or dicing it that is not "constantly changing the mount" I really don't see how you can consider that either greedy or rude of them.
Another canon fan(defender) heard from. I’m certainly happy for you. Canon is truly good stuff, but how many “MOUNTS” do they have out now, and how many lens mount “Changes” is O.K.????? ...................RJM
All I'am trying to do is sell a couple Sigma lens Canon Mt

Now I'm curious! The only Canon mounts I am aware of are the FD used for the manual focus range of SLR cameras and the EF starting in the 80's used for all EOS cameras, film or digital. What are the other four?

Yeah, good luck. I think your train has jumped the rails. I have had better luck at Fred Miranda Forums. You might look there.

there are also the mounts for the mirrorless cameras
EOS-M - 20mm flange distance
EOS-R - 19mm flange distance
the EF-M lenses are not compatible with the full frame mount, and vice versa

The 100-400mm0F5-6.3 DG OS is a full Frame Lens. It has a White Dot and the
DG is the give away. Sigma's crop sensor lens are all marked with a
DC (at least for thier Canon mounts) such as their DC 50-200mm F4-5.6 HSM OS Lens. Not only does it have a white dot on it near the mount on the metal part of the mount itself it has a red dot too. As can be seen in the attached image
for canon, red dot is full frame, white dot is not. I have owned several (sigh) of both over the years. white dot will not fit on a red dot Canon camera (1.6), red dot will fit on either... The dot code aparently does not apply to Sigma or Tameron lenses... Ed

That’s how canon stays in business. New mounts (new body) requires new lens or mount adapters. They(canon) has had at least 6 “six” mount changes, while Pentax has kept the K-mount since the sixties. Nikon has also been considerate to their FANS, by not changing at the drop of a hat. It’s one of the reasons I’m a Pentax & Fuji photographer..
Who cares
All i am trying to do is sell a couple lens
My wife passed in Dec. an I need the money
