A nice refuge from the elements in days gone by. A cot, rickety table and chair...what more could a man ask for? Tough to get mail out here although they did have a nice window view of the scenery.

A very nice depiction of history. You mentioned mail. What about internet?

I visited one in Wyoming. It had all the comforts of home - although I'm not sure I would have wanted to sleep on the bed. It was actually pretty clean. There was a not pad there for recording your visit. That was fun.

Thank you, Bob...yes internet would have been nice in the day. About a year ago, we were traveling somewhere and I saw a newer Sheepherder Wagon that had a dish on the roof. As Dylan sang, "The times they are a' changing"!

Been in a few, too, and always try to look into these old shacks...this one was behind a barbwire fence so no luck there.
