Old City Hall - Corona, CA

They have a new one now. At this time most of the offices were still here - I was there for a building permit for remodeling on our house. This building is now a civic center etc. I am told it was also once the city high school. Notice the familiar railings to keep passing period traffic on the "right side".

It is Spanish Mediterranean style in tan stucco with brown trim and most hall ways are on the outside with arches for light and air. Also a lot of tile and wrought iron plus old shade trees and a fountain in front.

Taken with my little Panasonic DMC-ZS6 pocket camera
4 mm, 1/30 @ f/3.3, ISO-80 on June 3, 2013

I did a complete re-edit with my latest editing apps.

Very nice shot, Jerry! A good view of some classic California architecture.

Thank you.

Actually in color it is almost like a toned B&W, all soft tans, black metal and deep shadows.

Thanks. Unexpected chances like that are why a Panasonic DMC-ZS6 lives in my shirt pocket.

When they were new those yellow safety strips on the steps were the only glaring color. Now they are faded and fit in with the mostly soft warm tones. Other than the grass and flowers in the lawn this scene is still exactly the same.

I spent an age removing yellow road markings from a street scene in Oxford, England. Those were brand new, too distracting.

Let me guess - note to self "Never take a shot that includes those %$#@& yellow markings if at all possible."
