These smoke images are just mirrored and layered. I tend to get a little more elaborate with the post processing but these were sitting on a drive for sometime. Since these shots were slugged "test" I never got around to cleaning them up. I must have gotten bored and when on to the next project. I recently had a few new ideas to tryout using a vacuum. Still a few weeks off on that one while I work out the logistics, plus my wife doesn't enjoy the homestead when it smell like Haight Ashbury circa 1967. Shot with a Sony A9 and Nikkor 200-500mm

Wow! This is very interesting.
These are cool......that third one looks like my hip X-RAY from the VA
Extremely well done and interesting!
These are sooooo cool, Larry. Can you say a little more about how you do these?
Very creative and impeccably processed. This is a new "look" I'd never seen before and was immediately drawn to it. I like your style, LMG.

Oh wow - I was just thinking it looked like some XXX-rated porn shot.
And #2 looks like a head shot of a demon.

Very creative work. I have thought about shooting incense smoke, but you have taken another step with the mirrored images.

Thanks KYShop, The hardest part was the lighting, I used 2 flashes and 2 LED's interjected with a lot of obscenities while I tripped over stuff. Printing paper rolled up was used to make snoots to direct the light and I put a black sheet in the background. Shots were reversed in photoshop and layered ontop of each other. As for lenses I have used everything from a Zeiss Milvus macro to a Nikkor 200-500mm Telephoto and probably every thing in-between. I think these were at ISO 1600, F22 and 250th of a second in a fairly dark room.
Very creative and great photos.
Wonderful, creative set of images. Well done!
