Here's some paths/trails from NE Ohio. Some of them are bridle trails which are a great place to hike if you are looking for some more remote places. Could be a little tough crossing streams.
A tip for hikers who don't have the opportunity or capability to hike some of the better-known trails in our national parks. Google maps has many of the more well-known trails on their "street view" which means you can click on the trail and go to street view and literally walk that trail. You can walk among the geysers at Yellowstone, or hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, or hike to the top of Yosemite Falls. Other parks with Google street view include Mt Rainier, Sequoia, Mesa Verde, Devils Tower and probably more. Check it out.
