Paris Notre Dame Cathedral – Before the Fire (2015)
I have visited Paris, France many times, the most recently in 2015 as part of the church Choir of First United Methodist Church of Richardson, Texas. I did check out the Notre Dame Cathedral on most of my visits, but I’m using the photos from the 2015 visit in this Topic.
As you may know, the cathedral suffered significant damage from a fire in April 2019, and its interior was severely gutted. It will be a long time before the grandeur of that magnificent building will again be visible to the public. In that regard, I’m posting these photos so that people can see what the cathedral was like prior to the fire.

We visited there in October of 2016.
Thanks for the memories. Your pics are wonderful.
Oddly, I took less than a dozen pics.
I hope that She is fully restored.

A beautiful Cathedral. I hope they can restore it to what is shown in your series.
Beautiful set, David! You must be happy you have this after the fire.
Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. Yes, having seen the cathedral several times, the news of the fire troubled me a lot. I do hope and pray that it can be restored to its former glory. (And that they ignore the suggestions to "modernize" it.)
I do have one from my 1999 visit to Paris to show. It was scanned from a slide and not quite the same quality, I'm afraid.
