I think it would depend on the cat.
Here in So California there was a story that went around about a motorcycle repair place in one of the small desert cities up near Death Valley whose owner was also part of an animal rescue group, and lived in an apartment over his shop floor with stairs coming down inside the shop.
Well one day a small group of outlaw bikers came in and said their buddy didn't have any money so they were just taking his bike without paying. The repair guy pushed a button that opened the door to his apartment, whistled and called "Here Kitty, here Kitty, treats!" And his current rescue animal, a 2/3 grown mountain lion he had raised from so small he had to bottle feed her came bounding down the stairs looking for her "treats". The bikers left rather quickly, without the bike and came back later with cash but requested that the repairman take the money out on the sidewalk and roll the bike out to them. For some reason they didn't want to go in the shop.

Who gives a crap when or how many times it was posted. Am sitting on my deck with a cup of Jav and it brought the first smile 😊 for today even though I’ve seen it before.. That’s all that really matters, isn’t it. So thanks “second poster” for starting my day off on the right foot.
