This little guy somehow fell out of the nest too early.
I saw him awkwardly scampering about unable to fly for about 3 days. It was good see him getting some nourishment with neither parent around. I think he discovered his wings because I haven't see him in a couple of days.
Tack sharp work again, Erik! Even his meal looks good (photographically).
Nice one, Erik. It looks like that bird should be doing OK.

I had one here do the same last week. I'm not sure if he made it or not. Nicely taken, vz.

After a summer storm I came home to our big hound cuddling one between his paws. We took it in and raised it on dog food and Mealy worms. Finally built a pen outside. It got large enough to fly but I could go outside and hold up dog food and it would come sit on my shoulder to eat. That went on until one day she came in with a male robin following. She ate and left. Never say he again.
