Carrickfergus Castle is a Norman castle in Northern Ireland, situated in the town of Carrickfergus in County Antrim, on the northern shore of Belfast Lough. Built in 1177 by John de Courcy.

Impressive! And built to last, obviously. I'm glad to see it now, with a couple friendly boats in the bay, rather than the forbidding defense it must have been when it was built. Thanks for sharing!
