Rolleiflex replacement screen

Ladies and Gentlemen, My wife gifted me with a new focusing screen for my Rollei 3.5, type 2 at Christmas. It recently arrived and I was hoping that one or many of you might have a source to mount it. From what I have seen, they quite often need to be shimmed in order to focus to infinity. I just kick myself that I didn't have the money, at the time, to have Harry include this in his CLA of the camera.

I'd welcome any names/practitioners in the Midwest.

Assuming it's not a third-party screen, it ought to work without a shim.

Since infinity is a hard stop you should be able to discern easily if something is out of whack. If that works then closer distances should be fine.

Sadly, the Rollei manufacturer has been defunct for many years. The reason I mention this is that if you received a brighter screen recently it is probably not an exact replacement. Your new screen is probably manufactured by BrightScreen, Acumat, Beattie. Theses screen may be layered or thicker than the original and need to be installed by someone who can recalibrate the camera or as you suggested, add a shim. The aforementioned repair shop lists screen installations as one of their services.
