I need to purchase a new battery(s) for my camera and really don't want to spend the money for a Sony battery. I have found in the past that off brands work very well. Just would like to know which brand UHH folks prefer. Thanks so much for any info.

Wasabi is what I've used in Nikons for years.

I’ve been happy with Watson’s (B&H) in the past, but for my Sony A7r iiii I got a Sony battery at Best Buy for just over $30.00.

I've used Wasabi,Watson, and Kastar without any problems for many years. You can also find packages with a charger and multiple batteries very cheap on Amazon.

I have an RX10 MIV. I use genuine Sony batteries. I escape the high prices by buying them online from China. Takes a while to get here, but they are much less expensive than batteries bought in the US. Good luck.

The sony battery is not one of the top ones! Here's a test of all the brands that make batteries for this camera and the Sony a6000 series of cameras.

I purchased the RX10 IV in 2018. I also bought a Wasabi battery. It works as well as the included Sony.

Some knock off work well for a few weeks and die or worse yet damage your camera and void the warranty. I don’t fool around like that any more. I learned the hard way

I've been using Wasabi for eight years in two different cameras. Two Wasabi's finally failed, but I got more than my moneys worth out of them. The cameras can't tell the difference from their own brand.
