Here are a few shots I have gotten over the years.
Amazing series. Where did the Osprey get a Goldfish?

Time for a Friday fish fry! Whoops, it's Sunday--better put them on ice.
The Osprey was on the Maumee River a couple of years ago. After checking with fishermen the orange colored fish turns out to be a species of carp.
Excellent photos and series, Larry!!
Those photos are really great. Really appreciate 'action' photos.
Yes, goldfish (and koi) are carp, and feral ones will grow large and over generations look more like wild carp probably due to predation on the more colorful offspring, or they may retain some of the colors of the parent fish for several generations, at least in part allowed by low predation. There is disagreement on whether they are the same species, though both goldfish and koi shared a common carp ancestor at some point, but how long ago is disputed, and some enthusiasts insist they are different from each other and from wild Asian or European carp.

Great shots! Looks like the osprey fished in a koi pond!
Always amazing to see how much a bird can swallow.
