I see little wrong other than a bit more light would have helped.
I had that lens.
Didn't get the 'hang' of it, so sold it and the expensive dedicated flash. Got my $ back in the sale, luckily.
You make yous perform well.

I was wondering how that lens would do on an Nikon Z7. There is an adapter for it.

It can be done. There are now a few super macros for Nikons, but they are all fully manual as far as I am aware. Nice that the mpe has aperture control so you can always focus while wide open.

Your skill with the mpe65 always amazes me. Two fantastic images. Love it when you can see all the small facets of the eyes.
