I posted these in people photography but thought I would throw them up here too. I've been learning the ins and outs of Lightroom the last couple of weeks and have gone back over some old shots and re-edited them. These were all taken on a Nikon D3300. Most likely with 55-200mm "kit" lens. Varying settings...should be in the exif data if you care to know. CC welcome, Id like to know your thoughts. Thanks for looking.

I really like the third and last ones. They are cleanest and have good, natural expressions. However, I know the attraction kids have with florescent colors, but especially in the last one the intensity overwhelms the subject (it could be dialed down a bit in LR or PS). The focus seems a bit soft on the eyes on #3 which can be sharpened a bit in PS using a mask. #1 and #4 were shot at low-angle sunset? so the color has that yellow cast. Maybe that's what you were looking for but to me, it seems the white balance is off. All of this is totally subjective after all. Most importantly, you caught the personality of these kids which if not done, cannot be corrected in post.

Thank you for the feedback. The two backlit photos were super washed out originally and I did try to bring the color back into them. I'll post the originals of 3 of these with this comment. I may go back and fiddle with the skin tone again on those and see if I can fix it some more. I liked the green pop in the last one but I can see how it is a bit distracting. Maybe I will see if I can desaturate it some. The photos I started with weren't the best quality as these were all taken within the first few months of having my camera and I was still figuring it out.
