The EOS R5 will change how we think about mirrorless, how we think about photography, how we think about life.

I still love my 5D IV.
Me too. If I one day do get an R5 (or R6) I will probably keep the 5D4 anyway.
I’m going to be very happy with my new Canon 90D. All 32 megapixels of it!
Those who hold onto their DSLRs, do not notice their mirrors are their chains.

Why are you so impressed by mirrorless? What am I missing here?
Are there really tremendous benefits?
Thank you.

If you shoot with LiveView and the 10x zoom, imagine that 10x display being available to your eye via the electronic viewfinder.
Imagine any / every lens is stabilized via the in-body stablization.
Imagine every RF lens being sharper at every aperture value (including wide open) than any EF lens.
Imagine setting the AF position at every / any position within the frame: middle, off-center, corner, side, etc.
Imagine highlight alerts blinking in the view finder as you compose the shot telling you the potential over exposure.
Imagine all the mirrorless features above along with ongoing improvements in digital photography including silent shutter, 20+ frames per second, 30+ MP images, improved higher ISO performance.
Imagine the photographer you could have been if you had gone mirrorless.

Is that similar to Nikon's slogan..."take your photography to the next level"? These cameras are becoming so great that all you need to do is..... point & shoot. 🤪

Does this now mean that anyone other than Mirrorless shooters will all be only making JUNK photographs?
How many DSLR's do you still own and use. I appreciate your posts and expertise but I think the above statement is WAY Overboard. I don't want to throw out all 4 of the DSLR's my wife and I own.
