I guess the title says it all.
We are ordered to shelter at home unless emergency instances, wear face masks if we are outside in a place where we can't maintain social distancing, or if we are inside a commercial establishment. If your business is unable to provide curb side service, take out service or drive thru service you are ordered to shut down. We have a curfew if you over 18 you are to be off the streets by 10 PM unless you have an emergency circumstances. Two people per vehicle unless emergency. Outdoor gathering is limited to 10. It takes effect Thursday at 11:59 and will run until everyone has found a home in a looney bin or August 5 at 11:59 which ever comes first.

I just took a look at our virus figures on July 4 we had 4,520 total cases reported with 57 deaths.
Today at seven this evening we have 12,787 reported cases and 318 deaths. I guess we haven't been following the rules so now we get shut down. Maybe we'll learn to behave ourselves and realize that wearing a mask is not giving up any freedom. It's just being safe and smart.

Tx. did everything in its power to avoid dealing with Covid 19 early on. They didn't mandate masks and reopened way too early. Now that the infection rate is rising by the day they are trying to get the toothpaste back in the tube. People have to understand that this isn't a political problem it is a public health issue. We need to deal with it accordingly. If your inconvenienced by the restrictions think how inconvenient being in an ICU on a ventilator is.

Also,

Imagine the strain on the medical personnel. Both of my sisters in law (who live in Florida) had it with one ending up in the ICU. They had to make a "room" in the emergency ward by putting curtains around a bed. A few days later she was transported to a real room. On the way, she saw people in the halls, some coughing and other begging for help. She told my wife that the staff was running ragged. STAY SAFE!!

Sorry, but not a chance. Humans don't learn. Without even doing a search, I can guarantee that some people in your state are against these new rules. The word "freedom" is used too loosely.

EDIT: Sorry, I couldn't resist. Yes, there are groups protesting the Covid regulations throughout Texas, just like in other states.

I know two nurses, and they say it's like a never-ending nightmare. Too many sick people and not enough supplies.

Well, you can't argue with a statement like that.

The entire country needs to look at the island of Taiwan they were mandated to wear masks and not one person complained due to the fact that it would cost them 2500 dollars US for not wearing a mask, nothing was shut down except all flights from China or anywhere there was an outbreak they could not enter the country, all Chinese visitors were told to leave and at the beginning school was closed for 3 weeks as it stands they today zero cases due to doing the right thing, I have first hand knowledge as my son lives there they took care of business and the virus disappeared due to no hosts so masks do work and those that think it’s there constitutional right are idiots it has nothing to do with your freedoms and everything to do with you contracting it and if you survive having lung issues and physical problems for the rest of your life.

Healthcare provider must feel like the firefighters in California, last year. They work themselves to exhaustion for a couple of months until the ICU has some space, then they start all over again as the second wave of hospitalizations refills the ward.

Actually masks have a great deal to do with it. The use of masks dramatically reduces the chances of infection. The problem seems to be that there are too many people who believe that they are "special" and don't need to adhere the guidelines. This isn't confined to the Covid. In Maryland and many other states there are laws regarding picking up after your dog. Despite this common sense rule there are more then a few people who refuse to comply.

A county exec said they were moving a refer truck to a hospital to hold bodies. On the route they drove past a street market that was crammed with people. I have my guess as to how many were wearing masks. Perhaps they can label the next trucks with "TEMPORARY MORGUE" and parade them around the city.

Masks are supplements to social distancing!!!!!!!
Without them, the virus will continue to spread in settings where social distancing is not going to happen.

My younger daughter lives in a Ohio county that faces the same problem.
As they were "re-opening" her store was going to provide curb-side service, but apparently their IT department couldn't figure out the details, so now she fears that they will have to shut down again.
