When i try to do this i get the error message cannot send from lc classic using this default e-mail client!( which is windows live mail) in windows 10. yes, i have set up windows live mail as my default e-mail. yes i can send out a photo but i have to use export to hard drive in lc and set up a folder in my flashdrive with picture name and than can send a photo e-mail in windows e-mail with this picture as an attachment. But certainly their must be a fix to the initial problem!! Thanks for your help

There's probably no fix. You can bang your head against the issue or just export to a folder and manually attach to an email.

You should have an email-specific LR export preset defined with the appropriate image size / quality for an email attachment and set to a standard email-specific folder. Then, it's a 2-click export process. Add the feature to 'auto open' the output folder and you just grab the highlighted image file and drag directly onto your outgoing email.

Thanks paul for your advice on this matter. Yes, i have been exporting to a folder and manually attaching to an e-mail,but your tip to set up an lr export pre-set is good advice. Love all of your photos at the various zoos and all others!!!
