This is essentially a SONY NEX-7 with some leather and a few whistles and bells added and the HASSELBLAd name thrown on the body as well as a $4000 markup so you can show your country club freinds you have dollars to burn. So far I haven't seen any notice about german glass for this camera that's any different or an improvement over the SONY version. I guess this camera is purchased just for the bragging rights and the deflated wallet. Maybe they should call this camera "The NEW Republican" instead of the LUNAR. And how is charging $5000 for a camera body going to get you into the midrange mirrorless market with customers? For that price, I'll keep my D3 and D800e and have better glass and lense selection to choose from. Just sayin.....

There you go with the Nikon kool-aid again about lens quality and selection. With the NEX, since the body is thin, you can adapt just about any lens to fit. While the selection of Sony branded lenses is a bit limited at this time, there are things in the pipe-line (read Zeiss) to fill out the system. There isn't anything that your Nikon(or Canon) or whatever else you might own that can't be done with just about any interchangeable lens digital(or film)camera. Be happy with the choice you made-just don't belittle others for their choice. They might just know something that you don't!

I know you can purchase adaptors for most lenses to fit on this body and there are Zeiss lenses coming in the future. I also realize that the Sony version is almost $4000 less and almost the same features and body except for the leather and gold. I was simply refering to the exhorbitant price for the Hasselblad name on the Sony body. Extravagance at best and simple bragging rights at the least. Sure is a nice camera to have in the glove compartment of a Porsche if you have that kind of mindset. Just MHO though.
