Z50 Bracket Suggestion, Pls?

My standard photo-walk companion is a Wimberly Monopod Gymbal on a Sirui monopod. This works quite well for my D500/200-500 primary camera.

I would like to add a bracket to the Z50 that would function in the same orientation to the gymbal as does the mounting ring on my 200-500.

I suppose I could spin the gymbal so that it is ‘pointing toward the sky’ (vertical orientation) as compared to straight ahead (horizontal orientation) to accept the mounting ring Arca plate, but I’m unaware if any the L Bracket vertical elements also are milled as an Arca Swiss compatible plate. I’m not overly fond of this possible work around, thought the Z50 and its native lenses are not heavy.
Apologies for the wordy question. I would appreciate any suggestions, especially from someone with experience with this mounting issue.

Go to Really Right Stuff . Their plates are completely Arca Swiss compatible. Link goes directly to the correct page.

Not sure what you are after but sounds to me like you want to mount the Z50 onto the gimbal. There is one big problem with arca-swiss and that is sometimes the ideal way a plate should face is either front/rear or left/right. If you have any sort of combination of both of these then you need to pick either of the above as the dominant direction. In your case I would base the dominant direction as being the one that holds the most weight. To go the other direction take an arca swiss plate and mount it to a clamp at 90 degrees. You can glue these two together. Then the other combination is possible.
I have a complicated rack system and was fortunate to find that adding an L bracket to the camera orientated it the correct way to mount on the tripod when not using the rack system. The rack system itself was a nightmare since some arca swiss designs don't face the way you want and mine includes a plate/clamp pair as above to make it all work.
An arca swiss system is incredibly powerful and the beauty is that there is very little compromise in rigidity if you use the right sized clamp/plates. I have standardised on 60mm as being a better solution than 50mm.

That plate is for a D50, NOT a Z50. I am a happy user of RRS products, but I do not believe they make any plates for the Z series. Suggest giving them a call. I believe that Three Legged Thing (B&H) makes something that MAY work. I own a Z6 but have never mounted it because of its light weight. Best of luck.

I have a Z7, and got the BZ7 L-bracket from RRS. I don't know if they make an L-bracket or plate specifically for the Z50. I'd suggest calling them - their customer service is excellent.
