Thinking about printing one of these on large canvas. Any thoughts? Best viewed full screen in download.

I like the 2nd but I would crop to just below the fence. The few clouds add a little to the image.

Thanks kpmac. I agree about the clouds. Had to take what I was given and I wasn't there at the best time of day either.
I like the expanse of the second image. My wife likes the closer view of the shanty.

Hard decision, I like the first best because the larger more detailed old building adds to it. The clouds on the second does add to it but the entire sky on the second to me is a little too blue.

Thanks CB. I can tweak the saturation of the sky. What do others think?

Definitely #1. The bldg is the focal point of the picture and in #2 it's just there but no detail.

Jay I would use the first image and crop above that brown ridge. I would also beef up the contrast.
I guess I am with your wife from a visual standpoint.

Number one for me. Closer focal point. And it gives me a reason to say the word "shanty".

I like the first the best, but neither photo has enough stuff in it to interest me.

I vote for the first one - the eye goes to the structure, no distraction from the green uniform background.

Total agreement with PixelStan77. The brown line in front is a distraction and the detail is more valuable. Whatever you hear, pick the one YOU like!

Great replies all. I guess my original concept was to show the desolation of settling the wide open Prairie. That said, the closer view of the house/shanty does probably provide more interest.
