Of course you're right. Why would I take the word of an accomplished physician and scientist when I can listen to a guy who paid someone to take his SAT's and can't put words together to make a coherent sentence.

This a big h**x by the author. He takes a single sentence out of a speech entirely out of context for pure political purpose. He is a regular substitute host for hannity radio show.

Worthless

It's funny, if someone makes a statement that you don't agree with, you ask for the source.

When someone supplies several sources, you drop back to the "Trump did it", "no facts" negative response.

Faucu is doing nothing other than playing politics. Flip Flop Flip Flop. I wonder how competent he really is. Before you criticize me by feigning outrage at how I dare criticize F***i look up how a chair of a Department in Medicine is selected. A little note they don't all have brains and many play the ass kissing game.

NIH Director Francis Collins defends F***i amid White House criticism
By LEV FACHER @levfacherJULY 16, 2020

WASHINGTON — Francis Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health, defended the beleaguered disease researcher Anthony F***i in an interview this week, calling the prospect of firing or demoting him “unimaginable.”

F***i, who has led the National Institute on Allergy and Infectious Diseases for 36 years, has recently come under fire from President Trump, an array of White House aides, and other Trump allies. But Collins, who is nominally F***i’s boss, implied he would not follow orders to dismiss F***i, should they come. Instead, he touted F***i’s decades long scientific acumen as a national asset — one that’s especially critical amid a p******c that has already claimed 138,000 American lives.

“This is a remarkable scientist who has led NIH’s efforts in infectious disease with great distinction for more than 30 years and who continues to be our lead in v*****es and therapeutics for C****-**,” Collins told STAT. “The idea of losing that leadership at this critical moment for our nation is unthinkable.”

Asked whether his answer meant he would refuse to dismiss F***i even if ordered by the president or health secretary, Collins only laughed.

“I think you heard my answer,” he said.

Collins’ defense of F***i comes amid a broader White House effort to discredit the renowned infectious diseases researcher, who, unlike other key figures in the Trump administration’s C****-** response, is not a p**********l appointee.

Trump, in particular, has openly disagreed with F***i’s guidance on whether fans should attend professional football games in the fall and whether the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine is an effective C****-** treatment (clinical trials show it is not).

In recent weeks, as the U.S. outbreak has spiraled out of control, F***i has urged Americans to wear masks and to practice social distancing. The White House, however, has refused to amplify his advice, and instead has escalated its attacks on him. In a recent interview, Trump accused F***i of making “a lot of mistakes” in helping to shape the country’s C****-** response.

Brett Giroir, a top health official, suggested in a separate interview that F***i may fail to account for the “whole national interest,” like the economy, when issuing public health guidance.

And on Wednesday, Peter Navarro, one of Trump’s top economic advisers, attacked F***i in a USA Today op-ed, headlined: “Anthony F***i has been wrong about everything I have interacted with him on.”

The White House later distanced itself from the op-ed, saying Navarro wrote it of his own accord and without clearing it through normal administration protocols.

Since the op-ed, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany has dismissed the mounting evidence of a rift between F***i and Trump administration decision-makers. Trump, too, has mentioned that he and F***i have a “very good relationship.”

Given F***i’s status as a civil servant and not a political appointee, it is likely that Trump is not permitted to dismiss him directly. Most non-political appointees in federal service also cannot be dismissed without cause, meaning the Trump administration likely can’t dismiss F***i and can only reassign him — as was the case with Rick Bright, the ousted v*****es researcher who has filed a whistleblower lawsuit following his removal as director of a federal p******c preparedness agency.

In the unlikely event the Trump administration moves to dismiss F***i, it would likely require the cooperation of his more direct superiors — NIH’s Collins or health secretary Alex Azar.

According to polling, doing so would be politically unwise: 67% of v**ers in a recent New York Times-Siena poll said they trusted information F***i shared about the p******c, compared to just 26% for Trump.

Dr. F***i announced a new promising drug that can fight this v***s.
Remdesivir manufactured by Gilead

Did some digging real quick. For starters, there is no generic so the cost of this one is estimated to be around $1000 a pill, per Gilead. Unlike HCQ that is generic and pennies for patients to obtain.

1. Remdesivir has not been approved anywhere globally to be used for any reason.

2. It was approved in March 2020 after a “rapid review” by the FDA to do a study using C***D ** patients.

3. April 23, 2020. Merdad Parsey, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer, Gilead released a statement that information from their clinical study in China was released prematurely on the WHO website. Information was removed. “The study was terminated early due to low enrollment and, as a result, it was underpowered to enable statistically meaningful conclusions.”
Photo of screenshot attached.

4. Apparently, China applied for a new patent on this experimental drug prior to Gilead. This was asked on a forum, screenshot included.

5. “In March 2020, Gilead fought to maintain its patent on Remdesivir as a treatment for several c****av***ses, initiating legal conflicts with W***n Institute of V******y. Gilead later secured orphan drug status for Remdesivir, allowing the company to exclusively obtain marketing revenue for up to 7 years.” Screenshot attached

6. Dr. Merdad Parsey was appointed to his position with Gilead to start November 1, 2019.
That’s an awful short time frame to start at a company and develop a drug to fight against a v***s that has yet to even be in the public.....or was it...... But, even if it was. November 1, first day on the job. By March you already have a drug that is before the FDA for a rapid review and put into clinical trials on patients, after fighting for the patent with a Chinese lab....

Does anyone else smell a rat?
Not saying Dr. Parsey is the rat. But I sure do not trust Dr. F***i.

Just proved my point. An appointed hack with unlimited longevity. He is free to make mistakes without fear of repercussion. I don't trust any politician including Trump. The only one I trust is that little guy with the warning bell aka my gut feeling and that is very rarely wrong.
