When I was a kid, I was at an amusement part, and they had a sign pointing to "Rare South American Red Bats." After climbing the ladder, sure enough - a pair of red baseball bats.

Flying Fox Bats are absolutely adorable! I did not know how loving and social they truly are and for anyone that loves to see baby animals this little video of them will melt even the hardest of hearts.

I would love it! I've lived bats ever since I can remember. I hate the news stories I've seen. They use camera perspective to make the bats appear larger than they are. I've actually written to some of them about their scare tactics. Bats have a hard enough time without some story inflaming things. I think about all the pests they eat and that's good enough for me. Wouldn't have tequila without them as well.😊

That was Steeplechase Park in Coney Island Jerry, I spent many a summer’s day there. They had a big pool, entrance to the beach, and some great rides, including electric horses that gave the park its name.

Thanks! I didn't know if was Steeplechase or Rye Beach (NY). My mother taught elementary school, and she had a Tilyou girl in one of her classes - a relative of George C. Tilyou. That poster with the smiley face was a great idea.
