I HAD a similar problem and we bought a new car two years ago and it came without a CD players. We live in a remote area where sometimes good music is hard to get. But they are happy to sell me a subscription to a radio network. But I have plenty of CD that I would like to be able to use. I frankly do not like someone else dictating my life to me.
I bet your car has provision for a flash drive. My son and I have Fits (the car, I mean, not the medical condition), and each one has two ports for flash drives. We have small USB drives with hundreds of songs, so we always have an assortment of music. I have a 2015 with a CD slot. My son's 2020 cannot play CDs.
From 2014, "Most cars now have USB ports! There are definitely entry level models that don't though."
This drive is about the size of my thumbnail.
