A few more. I was raining on me as I took these.:) Now it clouded up on me. But no fear, I will go back out.:) I over did the PP on this one just a bit. Pretty noisy.

The clouds parted and I was there:):) Second try. Believe it or not it is still sprinkling on me. Had to put up an umbrella over the lens.:) Going out again, it is really clear tonight.

I went out and took several shots of the moon. I got big white blobs; I blamed it on my cat that kept rubbing my arm when trying to focus but I honestly don't know if my camera will take those good shots. Then again it could be the woman behind the camera. Erv, your photos were great as usual.

What camera do you have? The other thing, the Moon is very bright. My settings were:
ISO 200
F 9
SS
320
And dialed in EV -2.6

Curious why you did the EV at -2.6 versus changing SS or F to get best results? What am I missing?

Nice moons! I will go out tonight with tripod. I had visiting friends last night and took mine handheld in a hurry while watching a beautiful sunset. This is a great post to follow!

The Moon is kind of wierd to get the detail in. It is so bright. If you can do small settings to get it just right that is the way to go. Most times making big steps blows the detail. I started at -1.7 and kepted dialing down. Ended up at that setting to give me good detail. I don't know who showed me that but it seems to work better than changing the settings with SS and Aperture.
