How nice it would be to have any one of these photos prominently displayed in my home. I think Ansel may have been whispering in your ear when you were taking these photos. Your compositions are to be studied. Great work, sir. I salute you.

It's not over yet. You can still see Yosemite and hike many of it's trails on Google maps, street view. Many of the trails in National Parks are now on "street view". If you have a laptop and get on Google maps and enter Yosemite, it will take you to the park. Click on any one of the trails shown e.g. trail to Vernal & Nevada Falls. Right click and a box with options will appear. Click on "What's Here" and it will give you a street view with 360 degree visibility. You can then use that street view to walk the trail. In Yosemite, the trails included on street view are the Vernal Falls/Nevada Falls, Yosemite Falls (all the way to the top) and Glacier Point. May be others. This feature also works for Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Mount Rainier, Yellowstone (walk among the geysers), Mesa Verde and others. Check them out from you recliner, I did and I'm 10 yrs younger than you.

Thank you very very much, I have many thousands of photographs of Yosemite. If I get bored I look at that.

You can also check out the other NP's as well. The walk around the Yellowstone geysers is pretty neat.

Really outstanding photos! Your talent is definitely showing!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your outstanding, more recent work!
What camera gear have you used over the years? I know it is the eye behind the camera, that makes the scene, but the camera can make a contribution in quality.

This was the last time I was in the Valley. Old age(90) and a stroke made it impossible from now on. I miss it.

Beautiful photos Mike. I'm sorry you aren't able to go there any longer, but at least you still have photos of your many trips there. I hope to have many more years to travel and take photos, but at 72 I realize there is more behind me than ahead of me so I'm going to do as much as I can. I still look at the photos (now digital, scanned from slides) of our summer of 1973 spent going all over Europe.
