I had a great time yesterday. Waiting in anticipation for the shuttle to arrive. The big question was will the fog actually lift so we can have a clear view. Yeah, about a half an hour before the flyover it did clear up. It was a very exciting moment when it did fly by and thousands of cameras across the San Francisco Bay area started clicking. A moment we will store away for sure...
The best photos of the flight I have seen to date. Great shot. Thanks for posting.

These are spot-on!!! Love the accompaning fighter.
Great captures. I was in hopes that they would fly up this direction, but no such luck.
Well done.
For all the hype that we had at the NASA- Ames facility it seems most of the images I've seen have been just as good or better than those taken from the Ames location. Even the Director of the facility told us we would see he flyover unlike anyone else. He was right. It came up from behind us and appeared over the top of the Hangar One skeletal frame. Not down the runway centerline as we were told. Really caught all the Media video crews off guard. They even coined a new term, the Whiplash Pass.
Great job Tim. BTW, is Jayden going to the playoff games?
Great catches, you were very lucky to see it in realtime too.
