A racist title?....
Interesting. I’ve only heard the term used for Ford Rancheros or Chevy El Caminos. It could be considered offensive (don’t know why) but I don’t think cowboys are a race.
maybe cowboys LIKE to race? lol
I always understood that any pick’em up truck was a “Cowboy Cadillac.” But, as a prior member stated, Cowboys do not constitute a race. Everyone loves a Cowboy and I never thought of the term as in any way derogative.
A pickup truck! It took me a while to figure that out.
Actually, I think a Cowboy Cadillac refers to a fancy or top spec pickup or SUV. I've owned a number of them, but don't have any cows. Like they say in Texas, I'm "all hat and no cattle!" 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
As trucks became more and more fancy, I believe the high-end ones did become more of the Cowboy Cadillacs.
As a Texan... any P/U is a Cowboy Cadillac... Racist, I don't think so. We don't think the term is derogatory, just
a fact of life... Have you seen the fancy rigs we drive in Texas... Some even cost more than a Cadillac. They definitely do more than a Cadillac and get used more!
Thanks for commenting, anyway.
