It's a hybrid for sure. Cab could be 55 or 56 Mercury, but rear fenders are definitely Chevy sheet metal, 1958 I believe.

No idea, interesting custom job though. I noticed there is no door handle or lock on the right side. :)
I like the clouds, gives some additional sky color in the background.

I was in Canada in for a hunting trip back in the 70’s & it appeared Canadian car factories, especially Fords had slight differences between American models & their equivalent model made in Canada.

Well, I thought I had really lost my mind. In that era, I did not know there was a Mercury pickup, and there wasn't! In Chicago that is. But Ford did rebadge a F100 as a Mercury in Canada. Google is my friend here.
Anyway, a Ford is a Ford, except when it is a Mercury...

I never knew that Mercury made a pickup truck. The only thing I ever saw was cars.

I was going to say......"there was no Mercury pick-up truck"! But then, you learn something new every day.
I did know that USA models of Fords, Chevys etc did Canadian models with slightly different trim details back then though.

There is a movie starring Robert Redford as a Wyoming rancher that features a Mercury p/u., if memory serves me right. Movie is An Unforgiven Life.
