Neither had I until yesterday! The ones I see most frequently around here are the Twin Flagged Jumping Spiders (Anasaitis canosa)

I don't think I would call Jumping Spiders nasty, in fact I think they are adorable with those huge eyes!

This may be a dumb question to all of you that do this type photography... are the subjects dead? I don't like spiders but the jumpers are the only ones that I can stomach. Nice photo.
