Great detail in your pictures. What type of boa is Willow?

LOVE THE NAME....hilarious

Thank you. It was a collaboration between my kids and I. I liked Willow and they wanted Snakespear so I meshed them into a play on the whole name!

Is this evidence of an admission Of guilt for your involvement in the Eden fiasco?

hahaha you know that actually didn't even cross my mind. The apple just happened to be handy and the only thing I had nearby for a size comparison. But now that you mention it, this photo could be taken in that direction. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Have had snakes AND spiders. Charlotte (what else) was a very docile Mexican Red Leg tarantula.
But, I never, ever used either to make anyone uncomfortable.

I don't want to make people uncomfortable either. Spiders give me the heeby jeebies lol. To each his own lol. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Good work Maggie. I like the first best because the snake is more iluminated and I think it is your principal subject in the composition.

Thank you Reguli. Yes the snake was my main focus. The apple was just an after thought for size comparison but turned out to be an excellent addition to the photo and as someone else pointed out gives it a bit of a Forbidden Fruit vibe.

Is that the apple the snake tempted Eve with?

Honestly that thought never crossed my mind until another person commented on the same lines. I think that is a great way to view this photo though that was not my original intention. I just wanted to kind of show her actual size (she is tiny) and the apple just happned to be the closest thing on hand thatbwould give relative size. Thanks for looking and commenting!

Lol Willow is not a boa. She is a ball python or royal python as is their proper name. Thank you for looking and commenting.

Aren't pythons the snakes that experts say they actually grow up watching their owners and thinking about wrapping around them in order to suffocate them? What do you feed that snake? What attracts you to a snake as a pet rather something like a dog, or cat, or a horse?

Id sure like to know what "experts" you are talking about. And I have a ball python not bermese. Ball pythons only get roughly 5 feet at max and will never eat anything bigger than a medium sized rat. The one in these pictures fits in the palm of my hand. I love dogs but am not allowed to have one where I rent. Snakes make great pets. They eat about once a week, could really care less if you pay attention to them, dont make noise, dont make a mess. I understand that not all people are snake people but it irritates me when people spout nonsense fron "experts" about how my tiny snake just wants to eat me. I guarantee more people get bit and serioulsly injured by dogs every year than have been by a pet snake in the last 10 years. Sorry for my rant. To each his own.

I am off work this week and am playing around with lightroom to try to get better with it and also learn how to utilize it more. I wanted to post some photos of my new baby Willow Snakespear. So I took some photos and played around with editing. Here are some of the results. These are very very cropped as I was using me 35mm lens. All taken with D3300, ISO 100, off camera flash, ss 1/200 and apeture 2.8. The first three are same photo with some different edits. I think I like the first the best. Small apple is for size comparison. She is so tiny. Second two are same photo with slightly different edits. Not sure which I prefer yet. Thanks for looking comments welcome! :)
