A couple of tall flowering plants

These are both native to Oz and especially the east coast around Sydney for the Gymea lilly. The Xanthorrhoea is common to most parts of Australia in one or more of it's many forms. These are commonly known as grass trees as can be seen from the last image. These beauties grow at around 5 - 10 cm per year.

Very nice set of images. Who would have guessed that that plant was so big. Thank you for the reference. Hopefully, you are returning to photograph the flower.

Given the flower is around six metres up, it's a bit difficult but I'll see what i can do in a couple of weeks
