As you all have probably heard by now, Charlie Daniels passed away early this morning at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage Tennessee. It's a sad loss for many of us who loved Charlie's music over the years. I had the pleasure of meeting him in church and he was just as down to earth a man as you'd ever meet. Back in April 2016 (for Easter) he gave a free performance at World Outreach church. Lucky me, I got a front row seat where I shot these photos. I'm not really proud of these, they're not that good and I know it. But in order to honor him, I wanted to share this rare footage of Charlie Daniels in Church. Oh, if you want to see the performance, below is a link to the video. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Liked his music James. Some good shots of Ole Charlie.

Great performance images as always, James. First time I’ve seen an image of Charlie without his big hat. Best wishes to you and your family.
Hey, Jim! I got to see him in college back in the 70's and once even here. The college ones were the best because he toured with the Marshall Tucker Band. That was neat! Yep, gonna' miss him!
Thanks for the link! That's some Church music program!
RIP Charlie--thanks for posting these.

For the past 28 years he played a place called Indian Ranch in Webster, Massachusetts about a half hour down the road from my home. We saw his show one time during that period. He was scheduled to play there this month but the show was cancelled because of the pandemic. His appearance was rescheduled to August of 2021 which sadly will not take place.
