I got a call from my doctor's office yesterday telling me the labs I had done a few days ago were "fine". While talking to her I asked about getting tested for Covid. She said that insurance wouldn't cover the test and it cost $160. Afterwards I was thinking, "what about all those cars lined up for blocks with people getting Covid tests. Do they have to pay to get tested?" Hmmm.

Arrangements may depend on the state and how anxious they are to test you.

I'm not sure about this, but when has that ever stopped anyone? Around here, we must be showing significant symptoms and have a note from a doctor in order to get tested. In a case like that, there is no charge.

My youngest son was tested this week and it was free. Here in Central CA they offer free testing by appointment only and he said google was paying for the testing. He also said that for every positive test every member of the household is considered positive until cleared by a Dr or a test with neg results. This is assuming that there is multiple people living in the same household.
So if he comes back positive the report will show four positives instead of one. Hope he comes back neg.
