I have just taken time to read Bill Evans bio. what a sad sad life! I feel shakey, just reading it.

Yes, it was tragic!! Seems many jazz musicians had tragic lives and all too often, deaths. Bill Evans grew up in Plainfield, NJ - just a few miles from me. Actually, I worked (2nd job) there for 35 years and lived there for 2 years. Bill's brother, a college music professor, committed suicide - he was schizophrenic. So sad!! There is a wonderful Amazon Prime movie about his life, "A
Time Remembered".

doing our best to stay well..... I am one of those people who are happy at home..this isolation thing really has not affected me much at all.

Downbeat best trumpeter award many times.I Particularly enjoy the album where he sings. You can see in your clips the ravages of Heroin on his face. I know you were once a trumpeter as was I, truly appreciate your postings as they are very variegated. Stay well and productive.Barry
