Yeah, I hate to say it, but Frank is right. Being aware of your light source (and its location) is VERY important! I'll bet you're going to do better next time.
Also, start learning to us a circular polarizing filter. It takes a little practice, but is well worthwhile. If you don't already have one, be sure to get a quality one. I like B+W...hard to buy but easy to love!
Thanks for sharing your photos...I LOVE the Alfa!

you could have been politer with that critique. Her is obviously new to the site with only 8 posts. No need to be vicious about it. Can't you write in English? ( does not feel nice does it?) It is your not Ur. Ur is the city in the Chaldean's modern day Iran) where God called Abraham out of. It is you not u (which is the nickname of the university of Miami) and its spelled need not nee. Nee is what the knights who say nee say until you provide them with a shrubbery. (Monty python and the holy grail for those who are confused. Frank watch your white balance, as well as overexposure. the falcon has a blue tint and the roof is blown out.

Well mr Bullit did say "comments welcome" but but even the worst news can be delivered with tact. The Alfa I thought was stunning. The thing to learn is try and work out "why" it is stunning, and try to carry that forward. If you have to wait a few minutes untill there is no one peering in through the window, in the long run the phot will be better for the effort. Every car will have it's best angle, the slabby Ford was not very flattering. When the contributer looks back at the post, I think he will see that for himself.

New here, and just had to jump into this one.

Agreed the Alfa is a good shot. #1 shot of the Alfa is better composed than the Ford, better shot angle, whole car is in frame. Wait for people to move then take your shot. Sometimes your lighting is what it is, then again make fine tune adjustments setting to A-AV Priority and tweak, all else fails post processing is your friend.

But I would drive away in the GT 350.

I guess I better be careful when I ask for comments.
Just kidding. Yes, I know it is a bit dark for the Ford Fairlane shot. There was a garage behind me blocking the sun. And I do have a polarizing filter, I just didn't have it on that lens I was using.

We can all thank Bullittjon for posting his photos, there are things here for all of us to learn from. Sometimes at the car shows your just can't get the angle you need because of other cars, or people in the way. We should all be so lucky to get hired to photograph one car, and be able to move it around, from shade to sun, different backgrounds, etc. But the car shows are still fun!
