I like the whole set! I have said in the past, "Sometimes the best photos are the ones you take what you can get without doing a lot of setup."

Hope you gave the couple, a set of your photos.

I have a suggestion for all my UHH friends: Always be looking for Photo opps and take advantage of them when you can.
While on a mountain bike ride at the "golden hour" I came across a photographer taking photos of a husband and his wife who was pregnant with their first child. The pregnant wife was wearing a long white flowing dress that really seemed to pick up the glowing light of the golden hour. The photographer had obviously planned out this whole photo shoot to be in harmony with that beautiful light. While riding my bike and seeing them, I stopped and asked if they would mind if I took a few photos of them with my cell phone. Fortunately they were all nice and said yes! It's always best to ask! The worst that could happen is they would say "no". I took several photos of them and also a few of the area where I was riding my bike. The light was fabulous! I now wish I had taken my "big boy camera" along on the bike ride!
These all look best in download.
I have a suggestion for all my UHH friends: Always... (show quote)

There are great pictures. Really nice.

Thank you John........from my perspective I kind of can pick the photos apart and find ways that would have been better..............like the husband would look better if he didn't have his hand in his pocket for example.

And you always seem to find those photo ops Brent. Quite different from your action surf shots but pleasing just the same. Love your work. Proves that you have the eye and skills no matter the equipment.

Brent,
Beautiful work! Iโ€™m beginning to think itโ€™s impossible for you to take a bad photograph.
Not a hint of a beach, surf or white wetsuits and they still came out excellent.

calfilm, I don't show all the photos that were sub-par.......believe me, I take plenty of bad photographs. I have a rule of thumb: if you take lots of photos you increase your chances of getting some good ones!
Thanks so much calfilm for the kind words about this series and my surfing shots too.
