I have done zero research on the numbers stated on the below link, have fun picking it apart if it is not factual, or if you wish to pay the additional taxes to help continue the deficit spending. 8-)

Sounds nasty. Who is going to have the main-stream media read this off to the public PRIOR to elections.

Then maybe folks will vote

Those numbers are all correct... It is going to be an interesting fall.... Congress has pushed two years worth of important legislation in to a 6 week window... as if they somehow believe that they will magically resolve their differences...

No one is going to pay any more in taxes except for those making over $250,000 a year. The whole idea of "going over the fiscal cliff" is that on January 1 everybody's taxes will rise just as the article stated. However legislation will be quickly introduced to reduce all tax rates except the top rate. The decrease will also be retroactive to 1 January.

The idea behind this is to make it impossible for Grover Norquist to have any power over Republican legislators. They will have no choice but to vote for a tax decrease because it won't involve increasing taxes on the 1%, since their taxes will have already gone up.

In reality, 99% of Americans will se a decrease, not an increase. The rates will go up Jan 1, but will quickly go down once retroactive tax decreases are enacted. Sheer genius.

No one is going to pay any more in taxes except fo... (show quote)

Having never heard a word of truth from my government, just why should I believe that they will reduce my taxes after raising them?
Remember "The weapons of mass destruction"
Remember "I will close Gitmo"
Well I remember.
