Hiding out from the virus and now the 100 degree heat I've been working on an old long-term project that includes scanning and processing a lot of film images. Here's one I just finished that's a favorite.

Don't know what year it was taken but if years ago it would be interesting to see them now, wonderful photo of four friends.

"What shall we do?" Play ball?? "No its way to hot."
Great image. It looks very nostalgic no matter when it was taken.
Morning Joe,
This is another one of those images that make me feel that there really might be some hope for humanity and its' survival after all - whether the shot was taken 20 years ago or just yesterday. Four boys soon to be young men with their absolutely unknown futures upcoming. Where did they go, what did they do, professions, so many questions. Another way to look at this image (if you are a Stephen King fan) is if these young friends (each with their own completely unique personality) will be the main characters in one of Kings' novels featuring maniacal clowns, Gunslingers, corpses, etc. Of course these intrepid young Musketeers would be very clever, brave and stout hearted as I am sure these four friends were. Very nice image !!
All the best to you and yours and stay safe during these interesting (?) times,
Terry

I can see why it would be a favorite. Your capture it of personalities of each of those kids does a great job of showing each of their individual uniqueness. I really enjoyed looking and thanks for the post.
“And now gentlemen, all for one, one for all - that is our motto, is it not?“
A terrific documentation into the daily, mundane life of these four boys...Life magazine quality...I can remember having similar days with my friends wondering what to do or where to go!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks all, really am flattered by the comments. Here's some more info for you then. As a young fellow in my late 20s my day job was to stand behind a camera store counter and sell Hasselblads. At that time in my life I lived in a homeless shelter as one of the community that operated the shelter. For 6 years I walked the streets of the neighborhood with a camera and tripod and eventually became a neighborhood fixture such that folks knew and trusted me. So that would date this photo to the early 80s.
Many, many hundreds of photos became my Masters Thesis and I displayed the work -- some collected, some published, but then I got married and life moved on and I began a career as a college art teacher.
Retired now and teaching part-time, one long-term project is to get that body of work scanned and processed and edited. I've increased my efforts with all this time forced staying at home.
