Shoutout to Mpix

I usually use Costco for printing. They produce very good quality prints, are inexpensive and I get them at my nearby store within hours. But I’m now at a vacation home and the nearest Costco with a photo center is 60 miles away so, on the advice of someone in this group, I used Mpix. I started with just a couple prints to test their quality and I was very pleased.

Yesterday morning, I ordered 20 8x10s. Later in the day I realized I needed one print of another image. I did an online chat and asked if I could include that in my earlier order that was in production. Molly from Mpix responded immediately and told me they couldn’t add the additional print but she graciously gave me a code to use for free shipping on it. Furthermore, the 20 prints included free standard shipping which they say can take anywhere from 3 to 8 business days. I was very pleasantly surprised to receive an email last night telling me that order was shipped by Fedex and will arrive tomorrow.

Excellent quality, great prices and outstanding customer service.

Thanks. Added Mpix to my list of print sources. I've often heard Costco is good. Saw a friends big print from Sam's a few years ago - it was inexpensive and nice.

Millers and Mpix are the same company. Millers is the professional side and Mpix is the non-professional side. All prints are printed off the same machines. You are going to love how they package your order.

I was taking a graduate level photography course at PSU in Pittsburg KS, where Millers is located. But I lived 40 minutes away in Missouri. I ordered a photo book for the photography class I was taking, this was our final exam, a photo book of the semesters assignments.. I was told it would be delivered on Monday. So I called them Thursday and said I needed it Friday and couldn't wait until Monday. The customer service people spent three hours going thru all the orders to find my one book. I was able to pick it up in person Friday morning.
Those folks are amazing. If I remember correctly they ship out four or more UPS truck loads of orders per day.I talked with a UPS driver at a KFC where I was having lunch. She said that she drove a truck load from Millers to the airport every day.

I’m aware they are the same company and, you’re right, their packaging is excellent.

I’ve been using them exclusively for the past 6 years. I’m very pleased with their prints and service. A year ago, I messed up an order and Molly stepped in to bail me out, going way above and beyond to fix it.
I’m the furthest thing from a professional photographer on UHH but Mpix treats me like I am one and as if my small amount of business matters to them.

On my second order from MPix I got an example of their excellent customer service. My sister in law living in Oregon recently passed away.I learned her daughter was in need of some photographs of her parents so I volunteered to send her copies of photos I had in my computer. Sent the files to Mpix and received processing and shipping info from them. Passed this on to the daughter as I was having them shipped to her.It was then she told me that she had moved.I did not know what to do so I emailed Mpix and got a response from Barry. He contacted Fed Ex and provided updated address and the photos were delivered a day later.I emailed Barry thanking him and he replied that he was happy to help and thanked me for using Mpix.I am now a dedicated custome. Forget Sams,Wal Mart and walgreens.

Wow, sounds like a perfect place to do business.
So my question is this, I am new to printing my images of having someone print them for me. When sending them to Mpix , what format is the file, and will they adjust anything in the image?

I send all mine in jpeg format. You can choose to have them adjust the color etc. or just print them as delivered. The choice is yours.
