Personally, I’m glad to remove statutes that glorified those who revolted against our country to preserve the institution of s***ery. The statute is no more acceptable than a statute of Himmler or Goering. It is time to end the charade that this was an honorable endeavor. This was an armed revolt in order to preserve the right to own people. Put it in a museum with a copy of Texas’s articles of secession to give a proper context to these t*****rs
