Why you may asked “....last camera “ I’m 82 years old and I don’t plan to replace the Canon 90D camera I’m about to received. I was working for a Time-share company around the middle of 1990 taking pictures of new buyers for promotional reasons. We used Nikon 35mm cameras, take photos of those people developing them and paste them on some colorful paper backgrounds. But since we needed time to process them many buyers didn’t come back the next day to get them. Out of the blue a company from Canada introduce as to a digital system about the year of 1998 , it was a Nikon camera N8008 on the top of a Kodak DCS 200 pack with a digital hard drive of about 2 MP sensor priced $ 10.000 it had a memory card the size of a cigarette pack and weight around 7 Lbs. Lens, printer, photo paper and a photo program that allow as to impress the buyers and the Time-shares company that paid an amount of money equal of the price of a car. This was my best job of my entire working life. Since then I bought my own first digital camera a Fugifilm 6900Z that is still inside the original box. I had several Canon 35mm and digital cameras since then. Few weeks ago I had posted asking some of your opinions about buying a good digital camera on this wonderful HG forum and the results help me to buy this Canon camera 90D with a Nano 18-135mm lens. I hope I didn’t bore you and I’m running to the front door because I think it’s the UPS delivery person.

Well, I am still on my 1st Digital Camera, and almost 70 now and for what I am able to do, my Nikon D3300 with 5 Lens, from wide angle to Prime to Telephoto. I am still trying to learn, Landscape and Macro Photography. When I reach the End of the Line, I will leave all my Photography equipment to my Grandson, who bought a Nikon 3500 and 2 lens. He might give it to his 14 year old brother too.

I'm 74 and trying to come up with an argument to satisfy the wife that I need to upgrade my 80D to a 90D, give her my 80D to replace her T6s, pass the T6s to our special needs son who likes to take pictures with us using my very old Fuji Bridge camera.

As you can see by my signature line I presently use 3 Canon and 1 Sigma bodies and have a couple of P&S around (one Panasonic ZS6 lives in my shirt pocket) plus a Samsung smart phone with a decent camera in it.

As to making 100, I have hopes of making it a lot longer, both parents made it into their 80's, 3 of four grandparents made their late 80's, a Great Grandfather made it almost to 92 so my family definitely has the gene potential. And that Great Grandfather was healthy enough he raised a 2+ acre garden with hand tools until almost age 90. So I may even be able to keep lugging my cameras around another 10-15 years if things work out.

Once a young "smart a**" reporter asked President Eisenhower "Who wants to live to be 100?" when he was talking about predicted increases in lifespans. Ike answered "Well the guy who is 99 for one!"

Plans change. My plan used to be that I would live to 106 and be shot by some gal's jealous 30-ish husband. Then I got remarried......! Maybe I'll make it to 106, but, I no longer have to worry about jealous husbands of any age!

On Winston Churchill's 80th birthday, a young reporter said "I hope we'll be here for your hundreth!" "I don't see why you shouldn't, young man. You look fit enough to me!!"

Tony it’s funny you should ask, finally the UPS man arrived and there was a well packed camera with lens a very impressive set. I started to put the set together hoping to take some photos of my neighbors house across the street, a house surrounded with beautiful trees, I can’t venture out of the house any more because of the virus, than I discovered that I had to charge the battery for the next few hours. I worked in oil tankers for few years when I was sixteen years old and my motto with my new camera is to take photos of any kind of floating boats and ships, when you have salt water in your blood your can never get away from the mystery of ocean waves. Hoping I will get the opportunity to do that and post some photos on this forum. Thank you for asking.

That Canon 90D with the 18-135 is quite possibly the very best, most efficient, DSLR combo you could get with that size sensor. Good luck with it; it should provide you with wonderful photos for the next 20 years!
